Inappropriate and self-defeating behavior is caused by underlying issues that often go undetected. Teens themselves are often unaware of how deep unresolved hurt, pain, and sadness affect their behavior. The Ironwood staff are experts at creating relationships of trust with students which helps them feel safe and secure. Therapists and trained instructors guide students to a place where they can safely uncover those issues and deal with them in appropriate ways. To accomplish this, Ironwood therapists use a variety of approaches to assist teens in resolving the issues and emotional disorders that have been identified.
