Hi, my name is Grant Lippman and I am a student tutor here at Ironwood. My number one goal is to assist your kids as best I can and help them achieve their academic objectives.
I have lived in Maine since 1986 and attended Drexel University in Philadelphia for one year where I studied Hospitality Management, and then attended a school called The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College where I graduated with my Associates Degree in Hotel Management. I worked for the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia for just short of two years, and then in 2006 I returned to my hometown in Maine to run the family Bed and Breakfast called the Spouter Inn. After three years of owning and operating the B&B, I decided to change careers, get married and start a family. I am currently a certified basketball official with IAABO (International Association Approved Basketball Officials), where I’ve been able to work with kids and see them improve both as basketball players and as people. I get an absolute joy out of working with kids and assisting them through their every-day experiences. Ironwood has given me the opportunity to help kids reach their goals, and the programs and teachers in-place have proven that their goals are not insurmountable. One of my favorite quotes and something that related to me as I was growing up is: "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." – Benjamin Franklin |
